Divided into three sections – Understanding the Body, Getting Started, and Progressive Fitness Routines – “Flexibility After 50” is a guide to increasing your fitness levels from the inside out. “Understanding the Body” is an informative introduction to the body and how inactivity, poor posture and nutrition can contribute to reduced flexibility. Detailed diagrams illustrate the musculature structure of the body, highlighting problem areas and providing trouble-shooting advice. “Getting Started” provides the reader with the know-how to create a personal fitness regime, with flexibility and fitness tests to get started. The third and final section provides the reader with suggested exercise programs, progressing from beginner to advance and offering tips and advice for exercises for those with reduced mobility.
